摘　　要：随着实时多媒体应用在Internet上的增多,对其进行有力的QoS保证是实现多媒体通信的前提和基础。本文就当前国内外对于QoS的研究现状进行了分析,针对一种特定的多媒体应用——视频点播业务设计了一种基于代理的QoS管理模型,并对其功能和工作过程进行了详细阐述。该模型采用层次化结构,分成应用接入层、QoS管理层和资源管理层,将资源管理功能从QoS管理层中分离出来,单独设置资源管理层,这样可以更加方便地进行功能实现和扩展。With the increase of real - time multimedia applications, in order to complete the multimedia communication, to guarantee its QoS（ Quality of service） is the premise and base. This paper analyze the research achievements about QoS, design a QoS management model of VOD system based on agent, moreover, we elabo- rate it＇ s function and work process in detail. This model＇ s structure is layered, and it is divided into application entrance layer, QoS management layer and resource management layer, it detach the resource management func- tion from QoS management layer and design solely the resource management layer, it＇ s function can be realized and extended more conveniently.
