左宗棠对陶澍经世事业的继承和发展

摘　　要：陶澍和左宗棠都是中国近代史上最杰出的人物,而且关系密切,由"总督布衣之交"结为儿女亲家。他们是晚清经世致用思潮的倡导者和实践者,在经世致用、吏治行政、兴利除弊、用人育才、反对侵略等许多方面,有一致的思想与行动。陶澍非常器重左宗棠,并以后事相托;左宗棠对陶澍非常尊敬,并继承了陶澍的思想、发展了陶澍的事业。Tao Shu and Zuo Zongtang are the historical prominent figures in the modem history in China. They were bosom friends and the relatives by marriage of their children. They were both practisers of the theory of management of the state affairs, and they started good practice and weeded out corruptions and applied the quality officials and nursed the talents and guarded against the aggressions. Tao shu thought highly of Zuo Zongtang and trusted him all his life. Zuo Zongtang respected him and carried Tao＇s cause to go forward.
