摘　　要：作为一位小说艺术家,康拉德对小说语言与现实之间的关系有深刻的看法。本文从三个方面论述了康拉德的小说艺术观。首先,康拉德认为小说艺术之真寓于想象之中,虚构与现实、想象与真实之间存在着辩证关系;其次,他指出艺术家应该捕捉"生活的瞬间",从瞬间发现永恒之真;再者,康拉德敏感地意识到语言与现实之间的复杂关系,指出"语言是现实的大敌"。本文认为,康拉德是从伦理的高度来实践他的小说观念的。他的写作反映了一位小说家的职业道德和艺术良知。As a novelist of acute artistic sense, Conrad holds deep understanding of the relationship between language and reality. This paper investigates Conrad＇ s artistic view of the novel from three aspects. Firstly, Conrad proposes that the artistic truth of fiction is found in imagination and that relations between fiction and reality, and between imagination and truth are diabolic. Secondly, he suggests that the novelists should catch ＂moments of life＂ and explore the eternity and truth in the moments of life. Thirdly, Conrad has a sharp sense of the complicated relation between language and reality. He points out that ＂ words are the great foe of reality. ＂ This paper concludes that Conrad＇ s artistic concepts of the novel and his writing practice exhibit the professional morality and the artistic integrity of a conscientious writer, which well explains his works as ethical writing.
