级联光纤环形退偏器的统计退偏分析

摘　　要：利用多个2×2定向耦合器构成的级联光纤环形退偏器结构简单成本较低,且在一定程度上能有效地降低窄带光源输出偏振度,有较好的实际运用价值。从概率统计这一新角度说明了随着光纤环级联数的增加,输出光的DOP(degree of polarization)低于0.01的概率大大增加,退偏性能也进一步增加。This paper, from viewpoint of probability statistics, treats of the depolarizer composed of cascade single-mode fiber rings and describes that the probability of DOP（degree of polarization） less than 0.01 would increase greatly with arbitrary polarization conditions of the input light and fiber rings when the number of fiber rings increase. This cascade depolarizer has the advantages of simple structure, all-single-mode fiber construction and economy, and is of potential value in application.
