公安教育要“通才”与“专才”教育并重

摘　　要：通才教育是指培养发展较全面、知识面较广、活动领域较宽的横向型人才的教育;专才教育是指为适应就业及某种职业需要而培养具有专门知识和技能、技巧的纵向型人才的教育。公安高等教育起步较晚,在其发展过程中还带有明显的重专业、轻基础,重实践、轻理论的倾向。这种培养模式上的偏差,要实现"向教育要素质,向素质要警力和战斗力"的目标,就要求我们必须重新审视公安高等专科学校的发展定位及人才培养模式,公安高等教育应该做到"通才"与"专才"教育并重发展。General education refers to the development of more comprehensive training,a wide range of knowledge,thematic areas over a wide horizontal talent education. Specialist is defined as a job and some vocational training needs expertise and skill education longitudinal talents. For a variety of historical and practical reasons,liberal education and specialized education can not be equally developed in the public security higher education;and leading to many disadvantages in the public security higher education at present. The public security institutions should approach from personnel training orientation and personnel training mode,that the public security higher education of can foster more high-quality police.
