摘　　要：商务英语信函作为一种重要的国际贸易交流方式,其撰写要做到礼貌、准确,模糊限制语的使用在这方面有着积极的语用功能。恰当地使用模糊限制语可以使表达的意思更加得体、礼貌、严谨,有助于促进双方的关系,避免不必要的误解,实现有效沟通的目的。As one of the key communication way in international trade, the writing of English business letters should be polite and correct, in which the application of hedges plays an important role. The proper use of hedges in English business letters would make the messages conveyed in a more tactful, polite and exact way so as to avoid misunderstanding, promote the relationship between the two sides and achieve the effective communication.
