摘　　要：传统的建筑评论中古村落长期被作为文物建筑或历史建筑群来看待,古村落保护的定义与方法已无法涵盖古村落保护的全部内涵,传统古村落保护概念到"村落文化景观"概念,惠州古村落建筑艺术的保护战略和中央提出的"加快发展新农村建设"息息相关,本文探讨如何平衡其保护与发展的辨证关系,值得我们审慎思索。Ancient villages have long be regarded as cultural relics or historical buildings in tradition architectural comment. However, the present definition of ancient villages conservation fails to cover the intention of the protection. From the concept of conserving ancient villages to the concept of ＂village cultural landscape＂ ,the strategy of ancient construction art protection in Huizhotl is in accord- ance with the idea of ＂speeding up the construction of new villages＂ advocated by the Central Committee. This paper discusses the balance between protection and development.
