摘　　要：Although the use of commercial membrane apparatus and its technology in gelatine manufacturing companies since 1987 has been lasting for more than 20 years running,no paper so far had been dedicated to display its practical superiority and to elucidate the inspiring mechanism in details. A parallel study of the target performance index,such as get strength,viscosity dropping and ash content. and so on,has been made in an effort to make comparison between the gelatine obtained from the commercial membrane apparatus and that from the traditional 3-effect evaporator. The experimental results summarized from 2 different gelatine factories and listed in Table 1 and Table 2 separately indicate that the applying of commercial membrane apparatus instead of 1-st and 2-nd effect evaporator helps remarkably to enhance the gel strength and to leading to better quality of gelatine product.
