县级政府规模影响因素的实证研究——以四川省为例

摘　　要：以2007年四川省177个县级行政单位为样本,考察县级政府规模与经济发展水平、常住人口数量、管辖区域面积之间的相关关系。研究结果表明,经济发展水平、常住人口数量、管辖区域面积三大因素对县级政府规模存在不同程度的影响,充分考虑这些影响因素,可以为优化并确立合理的政府规模提供有价值的政策建议。Taking as sample 177 county-level administrative units of Sichuan Province in 2007, the paper examines the correlation between size of county governments and their economic development level, resident population, area of jurisdiction, which are actually three factors exerting effect on the size, as the findings showed. Giving full consideration to these factors, valuable policy measures are offered to optimize and establish a reasonable size of the county government.
