摘　　要：张怀瓘在其书论著作《书断》中用了较大篇幅讨论汉字的起源问题。唐代的汉字起源观点有:八卦说、结绳说、仓颉造字说、河图洛书说。而张怀瓘认为,上古时伏羲结绳而治,后文字取代了结绳,但文字并不直接起源于结绳;文字起源于八卦,八卦是文字之祖;造字者是黄帝史官苍颉,他先造的是象形字一类的"文"。Much space was devoted to the discussion of the origins of the Chinese characters in Zhang Huaiguan＇s book Shu Duan. There are eight types of origins of the Chinese characters ： the Eight Diagrams, rope knotting, Cangjie Creation, Hetu Luoshu and so on. Zhang Huaiguan held that the characters didn＇t originate from the rope - knotting; they were originated from the Eight Diagrams, with the creator being Cangjie. The first characters were of the nature of hieroglyphics.
