摘　　要：房子是多丽丝.莱辛作品中的重要意象。但到目前为止,对其评论大多散见在对莱辛早期作品的评论之中。不仅如此,其探讨也还没有完全摆脱和女性主义思想相关联的传统意义的窠臼。其实,她的房间意象并不是传统意象和女权主义意象的继续,而是对其的巧妙拓展并超越其上,而且,和传统意象的静态、单一的态势不同,莱辛的房间意象呈立体多面、层次叠加和多维投射的动态状。它承载着极为深刻的跨文化内涵和意义。House is one of the most important images in Doris Lessing＇s works. But not a single monograph has handled the subject yet. However, there have been vari- ous sporadic comments on it mainly confined to a feminist analysis of women＇s life. The connotations of ＂house＂ in Lessing＇s fiction are unstable and vary in meaning. This article tries to examine the dynamics of Lessing＇s house image, unveiling the trans-cultural significance of her writing.
