摘　　要：风云三号是实现全球、全天候、三维、定量和多光谱遥感的中国第二代极轨气象卫星系列,该系列的第一颗星风云三号A星(FY-3A)是一颗试验试用卫星,已于2008年5月27日11时成功发射并转入在轨运行和测试阶段。本文在概述中国气象卫星的基础上,介绍了FY-3A卫星的主要设计指标,同第一代极轨气象卫星相比主要观测能力的改进、FY-3A地面应用系统的设计和实现、FY-3A遥感产品的设计以及遥感产品在在轨测试期间试验试用情况。Fcngyun 3 series are the second generation polar-orbiting meteorological satellites of China, which is expected to perform global, 3-dimensional, quantitative and multi-spectral observations under all weather conditions （i.e., cloud-free and cloudy conditions）. First satellite of Fengyun 3 series （FY-3A） is a research and development satellite. FY-3A launched successfully at 11 am of May 27, 2008. Since then, FY-3A works well on the commission test phase. In this paper, the platform and the payloads are specified. Improvements of FY-3A on the Earth observations are summarized by comparing with Fengyun 1 series. The ground segment and retrieval products generated from this system are introduced. The services and the typical images during the on-orbit commission test are selected to render.
