摘　　要：琼北断陷盆地及海南岛西南沿海地区（暂名佛罗盆地）分布新第三纪上新世海相沉积地层。对于采用岩石地层单位有不同意见，有的主张前者采用望楼港组而后者采用莺歌海组。笔者认为前者应采用海口组，而后者采用望楼港组。Pliocene marine deposits are distributed in the Qiongbei down-faulted basin and along the southwest coast of Hainan Island (named the Foluo basin temporarily). Divergent views exist as to what lithostratigraphic units should be adopted for the strata. Some geologists propose that the Wanglougang Formation be used for the former, while the Yinggouhai Formation for the latter. The author suggests that the Haikou Formation be used for the former, while the Wanglougang for the latter.
