In order to recycle PH3 from industrial waste gas,the adsorption capacities of the two activated carbons were compared.Adsorption equilibrium data onto AC1 were carried out with the phosphine temperature ranged 25~70 ℃.The surface acidic groups of the two activated carbons were characterized by Boehm titration. The result shows that AC1 contained more acidic groups has higher adsorption capacity than AC2.The adsorption capacities of phosphine onto AC1 at different temperatures are as follows: 25 ℃(4.247 mg/g)〉40 ℃(2.750 mg/g)〉55 ℃(1.088 mg/g)〉70 ℃(1.527 mg/g).The prediction of adsorption isotherm is accomplished by the isosteric heat of adsorption from Clausius-Clapeyron equation. And the prediction results are in good agreement with the experimental data. The isosteric heats of adsorption indicated that adsorptive phosphine removal performance may be a dominant of physical adsorption and CaCl2/5A molecular sieve had an energetically heterogeneous surface. All the results show that AC1 had excellent potential as an adsorption material for phosphine separation and recycle of phosphine.
