摘　　要：数字城市是以计算机、多媒体和大规模存储技术为基础,以宽带网络为纽带,综合运用3S、遥测、模拟技术对城市进行信息采集、动态监测管理和辅助决策服务的系统。基于GIS的许昌城市信息查询系统设计与开发是以许昌各种数据为依据,通过MapInfo软件来完成许昌城区图的矢量化操作,建立许昌城区图的矢量图层及数据库,并以此为基本资料,采用VisualBasic与MapObjects进行组件式二次开发建立许昌地理信息查询系统。Digital city is the system which take the computer, the multimedia and the large-scale memory technology as foundation, take the wide band network as the link, synthesizes using 3 S , telemetry, simulation technology to carry on gathering information, dynamic monitoring and management, and assisting the policy-making service. Design and Development to Referral information system of XuChang Based on GIS is take each kind of data as the basis, completes the vectorgraph of XuChang through the Maplnfo, then establish vectorgraph and database and take these as the basic documents, using VisualBasic and MapObjects to carry on Component Base Secondary Development to establish the Referral information system of XuChang.
