摘　　要：英国戏剧家汤姆·斯托帕德以其对哲理的热衷探讨、机智犀利的台词、戏仿与颠覆手法,被奉为西方后现代剧场的领军人物。继荒诞派戏剧之后,更为艺术化地反映出后现代社会里人类生存的荒谬性,以及人们在面对当今高度科技化与过度理性的世界时所产生的认知困难。British playwright Tom Stoppard is regarded as a leader in Western post - modern theater due to his enthusiasm for philosophical discussions, the lines sharp wit, parody and subversion tactic. Following the Theater of the Absurd, his works the reflects more artistically the absurdity of human existence in the post - modern society as well as the 1 cognitive difficulties of people faced up to today＇s highly technological and over - rational world.
