英语指称词语的认知语用因素及解读

摘　　要：话语交际过程中的指称理解是一个复杂且重要的过程,是人们理解话语意义的关键步骤之一,在整个话语交际中起着关键性的作用。根据Ariel的可及性理论,英语指称词语具有可及性标示语等级的差异,不同的指称词语标示了所指称对象的心理表征在受众记忆中的可及性。人类的记忆系统和认知特点决定了人类对指称选择的认知加工方式,在此基础上,分析影响指称确认的4个认知语用因素以及它们在指称构建和解读过程中各自的作用。Reference assignment is a very complicated but important process, one of the basic procedures for understanding utterances and plays an essential role during the whole process of communication. It is the human memory system and cognitive characteristics that altogether determine the cognitive ways of the processing of referential choice. According to Ariel＇ s accessibility theory, each referring expression bears a specific degree of activation in the memory indicating how accessible the intended referent is. Four cognitive and pragmatic factors influencing the process of reference assignment are analyzed.
