摘　　要：针对网络带宽有限的网络环境中丢包率较高的问题,基于RTSP/RTP(Real Time Streaming protocol/Real-time Transport Protocol)协议,提出一种新颖的点播服务器解决方案。点播服务器采用轮询式处理模式,提高多用户并发请求的响应能力。对播放终端处理能力较弱、网络带宽有限的平台,支持只传输I帧,降低对网络带宽、处理器能力的要求。所提出的点播服务器结构和提高服务器性能的方法对点播服务器的开发,尤其是网络带宽有限环境中的流媒体服务器的开发,具有重要的参考价值。To resolve the problem of higher packet loss rate in network environment with limited network bandwidth, a novel solution for VOD sever is proposed based on RTSP/RTP protocol. The VOD server works in polling processing pattern to enhance the responding ability against concurrent requests from multiply clients. For the platform with limited network bandwidth and weaker processing capability of client devices, only I frame transmission is supported so as to reduce the requirement on the bandwidth and the capability of device processor. The architecture of VOD server and the methods of improving the server＇ s performance developed in this paper contribute a lot in their reference value to the development of VOD server,especially of streaming media server in network with limited bandwidth.
