摘　　要：文章建立在广义设计概念的基础上，运用设计科学的研究框架，通过探讨作为特定设计类型之一的城市规划在设计过程、设计任务、设计方法等诸方面与一般设计行为的整合与差异，使城市规划纳入设计科学的范畴，提出了城市规划更具规律性的本质特征，从而站在设计科学的角度提出了当今城市规划编制的改进措施和途径。Based on the generalized design concept and the research frame of design science, the similarities and differences between urban planning and general design behavior are discussed in terms of design progess,design objects,and design method. And from the point of design science,we can find the ways and methods to improve the urban planning of today.
