摘　　要：本文对近年来我国档案部门开展"城市记忆工程"的活动状况进行了简要总结,并在此基础上就其对档案事业自身发展的时代意义、对档案部门参与社会记忆传承与建构的意义及其实践与理论思考等进行了探讨。如果说"社会记忆"为档案学研究注入了学术新元素,那么"城市记忆工程"可以说为档案界开展社会记忆的传承与建构研究提供了实践载体和研究切入点,值得关注。The report summarizes the activities of ＂The Urban Memory Project＂carried by the archive department in our country in resent years. And based on the summary, the author discusses the significance of the activities to the development of archival undertaking and to the archive department to inherit and construct social memory. If ＂social memory＂ has infused new elements into archives science study, then the ＂urban memory project＂ provides a practice carrier and an entry point for archival circle＇s research on inheriting and constructing social memory. So it is noteworthy.
