摘 要:弥尔顿继承了清教徒重视教育的理念并加以发扬,认为最好的教育方法是在实际生活中学习,主张实用教育。受命定论的影响,弥尔顿心目中的上帝代表着人的精神的制高点,人类服从上帝是必要的,是得到自由的唯一途径。同时上帝也是理性和良知的化身,代表着永恒的理智和克制的价值原则。人只有使自己的欲望服从于理智才能自我得救。Milton inherited from his Puritan ancestors the that the best educational approach is learning in the practical notion of valuing education and developed it in his way, holding life and advocating pragmatic education. Influenced by Calvin's predestination, God in Milton's mind embodies the mightiest point of man's spirit. Obeying God is not only necessary but also the only way for man to get free. Milton also deemed that God is the embodiment of rationality and conscience, representing the value principles of eternal reason and restraint. Only by subjecting the desire to the rationality can human obtain self-salvation.
