摘　　要：林文庆作为南洋著名华侨学者、社会活动家,在多重文化认同的影响下,形成了自身独特的大学教育思想。他以儒家思想为基础,吸收近代西方大学理念,构建了自己的大学教育模式。在私立厦门大学16年的校长任内,他坚持科学与国学并重的办学理念,竭力推动科学教育和重点学科建设,奠定了综合性大学的学科基础和发展方向;坚信教育救国,崇尚儒家价值观,倡导通识教育,促进了专门人才的培养。作为学贯中西的校长和教育家,林文庆的教育理念和办学实践为当今大学教育发展留下了诸多有益的启示。As the famous overseas Chinese scholar and social activist in Southeast Asia, Lin Wenqing, who is affected by multiple cultural identity, formed his unique thought of college education. Based on Confucianism, he absorbed the idea of the modern western university and constructed his own mode of college education. As a president of private Xiamen University for 16 years, he persisted in schooling idea which lays equal stress on science and Chinese classics, endeavoring to promote scientific education and construction of key disciplines, establishing the foundation of the discipline and developing trend of comprehensive university. He was firmly convinced to save the nation by education, upholding the value of Confucianism, advocating general education and promoting the cultivation of special talents. As a president with knowledge of both western and Chinese and an educationist, his educational thought and schooling practice left many valuable enlightenment to the development of college education nowadays.
