摘　　要：档案编研蕴含着丰富的文化功能,社会公众文化对档案馆编研有其自身的需求特点,二者具有密不可分的联系。社会公众文化对档案编研具有导向作用、支持和推动作用,档案编研成果对社会公众文化起着丰富和推动的作用。档案馆编研要紧密围绕社会公众的文化需求,更好更全面地满足社会公众对档案编研工作多元、多层次的需求。editing and researching contains an abundance of cultural function, and the public culture has its own demand characteristics to archival editing and researching. There is indissoluble link between archival editing and researching and the public culture. The public culture has a role in guiding, supporting and promoting archival editing and researching, and the results of archival editing and researching plays a role in richen and promoting the public culture. Archival editing and researching should always attach great importance to the cultrual needs of the public, meeting pluralistic, multi - level needs of the public better and more comprehensively.
