Located in Xinglong County,Heibei Province, the Large Sky Area Multi-ObjectIt might be difficult to kill three birds with one stone. How about four thousand？ A huge ＂gun＂ can do this. Located in Xinglong County, Heibei Province, the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope （LAMOST） is able to observe 4,000 celestial bodies at a shot. The large volume of data collected is expected to greatly boost the pursuit of some fundamental astronomical issues.
