摘　　要：通过选用优质、早熟两用核不育系香１２５Ｓ与早籼品系Ｄ６８配组而育成的香两优６８，是一个高产、优质的两系杂交早稻组合，１９９８年２月通过湖南省品种审定，填补了我国优质杂交早稻的空白，在长江流域作早稻种植，具有很好的应用前景。Xiangliangyou 68, i.e., Xiang 125S/D68, is a newly-developed fine quality two-line hybrid rice for early cropping season in the area of double-rice-cropping pattern. It yields at about 7.5 t/hm 2 with medium maturity in early rice. Its grain quality is fine with brown, milling and head rice recovery of 79.9%, 73.4% and 50.0%, respectively, kernel length of 6.6 mm, kernel length/width ratio of 3.0 , chalky rice of 12%, amylose content of 13.4%, gel consistency of 84 mm and protein content of 9.3%. The main points in its cultural management and its hybrid seed production were also stated.
