浅析西欧中世纪大学的生存之道——以巴黎大学为例

摘　　要：中世纪大学是现代大学的源头,大学作为一种新的学术机构和组织结构,在漫长的历史过程中存活下来,得益于特定的生存之道:中世纪大学不是社会变化的旁观者,它们应时而生,以独特的社团性结构适应了时代的新要求并积极参与到社会变革的浪潮中;它们在当时欧洲政治舞台上娴熟运用斗争和妥协之法得以生存,并通过博弈建立起固定的课程、学位、系科和学院体系;大学完成了城市、教皇、王权寄予其的厚望,指引着社会前进的方向,实现了其特定的社会功能--探讨高深学问和培养社会精英,这三方相互交织、相互推进,共同构成了大学的生存之道。Medieval European Universities are the prototype of the modern universities, being a new academic institution and way of organization, and it is owing to its peculiar way of existence and development： the Universities don＇t stand by the trend of social change and fit into the demand of the age; the Universities live by its skilled struggle and compromise and thereby establishing fixed curriculum, degrees, faculties and college; the Universities fulfill the expectation from the society and guide the progress of society, and also fulfill its peculiar function-explore the profound knowledge and cultivate the elite.
