摘  要:为了解决星地间的数据通信,阐述了基于FPGA平台的JPEG图像压缩系统的设计与实现。为提高数据吞吐量和降低结构复杂性,对JPEG标准算法进行了优化,减少了硬件资源开销,采用改进的快速DCT运算,量化由乘法替代除法操作,扫描用查找表以避免使用RAM资源,由熵编码经转换输出预定义的压缩码流。实验结果表明,该系统功耗低、可靠性高,满足星载图像压缩系统的预期指标要求。In order to solve the video communication between the satellite and the earth, the design and implementation of JPEG image compression system based on FPGA are described. In the perspective of improving the data throughput and reducing the complexity of system architecture, the JPEG standard algorithm is optimized and hardware resource cost is reduced. The improved Fast DCT is taken. The multiplication operation is substituted for division in the quantization step. The scanning process with look-up table is used so as to avoid using of RAM resources. The predefined compression streams are obtained by the entropy coding. Experimental results show that the system with low power consumption and high reliability can meet requirements of spaceborne image compression.
