摘　　要：习语是语言里的一种特殊现象，它是“人们长期以来习用的，形式简单而意思精辟的定型的词组或短句”，是历史流传下来的精炼语言，有着其丰富的文化底蕴，是一种历史和文化的沉淀。本文通过探讨英汉文化的差异对习语的影响，提出几种有效的翻译方法，旨在忠实原文内容的基础上达到清晰，易解的目的，使译文读者能得到原作者所表达的思想，得到与原文读者大致相同的感受。Idioms phenomenon of a are sentences and set -up phrases, whose forms are short and meanings are brief. It is a special language , existing for a long time. An idiom is an important part in history cuhure, which has strong ethnic and cultural characteristics. This paper mainly intends to explore English and Chinese cultural differ- ences-on the impact of idioms, and proposes some effective methods of translation, in order to keep the face to the original. So readers can understand the original idea expressed by the original readers with similar feelings.
