摘　　要：信息时代赋予了现代图书馆保存人类文化遗产、开展社会教育、传递科学情报和开发智力资源的历史使命和社会职能,作为"知识的宝库、知识的喷泉","大学的心脏","学校的第二课堂",高校图书馆直接承担着大学生信息素质教育的重任,应充分发挥自身优势,在深化教育改革、全面推进素质教育中发挥积极作用,为培养适应新时期、新环境、新理念的社会主义创新型人才作出更大的贡献。The Information Age endues modern library with historical mission and social function of preserving cultural heritage of human ; carrying out social education ; spreading scientific information and developing intellectual resources. As the ＂treasure-house of knowledge＂, ＂fountain of information＂, ＂heart of university＂ and ＂school＇s second class＂, library takes on the heavy task of the information quality education of college students. Library itself should make best use of its advantages, and play an active role in reform of education and promotion of quality education in order to make greater contributions in the cultivation of the innovation talents of socialism which fit for the new era, new environment, and new concepts.
