摘  要:美国女作家赛珍珠与英国女作家多丽丝.莱辛因独特的双重文化经历创作了《群芳亭》和《野草在歌唱》。《群芳亭》通过中国吴太太在意大利传教士安德雷的宗教救赎中走向新生的故事,表现了异质文化融合的可能与希望。《野草在歌唱》通过南非白人玛丽被黑人男仆摩西杀害导致人性救赎失败的悲剧,展示了异质文化的冲突。不一样的救赎:宗教救赎与人性救赎都表达了两位作家对异质文化之间互相尊重,求同存异、和谐共处的思考。Growing up in a bi-cuhural environment and thus greatly influenced, American female writer Pearl S. Buck and British female writer Doris Lessing composed their masterpieces Pavilion of Women and The Grass Is Singing. By describing how a Chinese woman Mrs. wu decides to begin a new life under the influence of the Italian missionary and, Pavilion of Women tires to show the possibility of integration of two different cultures. On the contrary, The Grass Is Singing displays conflicts between two different cultures through a story in which the white woman Mary was killed by her male servant who is black. No matter how religious salvation is conveyed in Pavilion of Women or redemption of humanity is reflected in The Grass Is Singing, the same thing the two authors try to express in these two books is their own thoughts in mutual respect and harmony of different cultures.
