摘　　要：针对在当前建设节约型社会背景下我国城市东西向住宅的应用状况,论述了东西向住宅在技术、文化、社会、政策、节能等方面的适应性特征。以宜居性为目的,应用杂交与共生的理念,通过优秀案例的分析对东西向住宅各个层面的相应优化设计进行了研究,以期在充分发挥城市东西向住宅的节地效应课题上有所补益。Aiming at the application of the housing with east and west orientation （called ＂the E-W housing＂for short） in domestic city on the background of building a resource-efficient society, this paper makes expatiation of the E-W housing on its adaptability of technique, culture, society, policy and energy-saving. Base on purpose of ＂amenity＂and on the concept of ＂hybridization＂and ＂aymbiosis＂, the author gives analysis of the excellent cases and expects these experiences could be helpful for saving land in bringing the E-W housing into full play.
