摘　　要：随着保偏光纤(PMF)陀螺仪的发展,小型化已成为其一个重要的发展趋势,从而要求PMF向更细的方向发展。首先简要地介绍了双折射的理论,然后从理论上对超细40μm椭圆包层型PMF的结构设计和工艺制备进行了分析。重点分析了制作工艺上的难点以及解决方法,并对PMF未来的应用前景进行了展望。With the development of the PM-FOGs, there has been an important trend toward miniaturization and it requires PMF getting finer. First, the theory of birefringenee is briefly introduced, then the structural design and fabrication process of the superfine 40μm elliptical cladding PMF are analyzed in theory. The difficulties and solutions in fabrication process were analyzed emphatically and future application prospect is forecasted.
