摘　　要：甜菜碱（Betaine）是一种非毒性的渗透调节剂，广泛存在于生物界，又称为三甲基甘氨酸，系一种季铵盐型生物碱。本文综述了甜菜碱的理化特性、作用机理、应用以及前景等。甜菜碱作为一种新型的饲料添加剂具有广阔的应用前景。The betaine is a non - toxin osmosis regulator, which generally existed in the world of biology , and it can also be called trimethyl aminoacetic acid, belongs to QA alkaloid. This article summarized the betaine＇s physiochemistry characteristic, mechanism of action, application, perspective et al. Betaine is regarded as a new kind of feed additive which has a prospective plan in the future.
