摘　　要：由于主成分分析是一种实用的多元统计分析方法,能消除样本指标之间的相关性,在保持样本主要信息的前提下,提取少量具有代表性的主成分;采用主成分分析方法对西部装备制造业的国内竞争力加以分析和比较;通过对装备制造业209个小行业19项主要经济指标进行主成分分析,并对其分析结果进行汇总比较研究,找出西部具有比较优势的小行业。The principal components analysis is one of practical multi-dimensional statistical analysis methods.It can eliminate the relevance of the sample target,keep the main information of the sample,so,the extraction has the representative principal components.Therefore,this article analyzes competitive power of equipment manufacturing industry in western area based on principal components analysis.And,through analyzing and comparing the principal components of 19 main economic indicators in 209 small profession of the manufacturing industry,it identify the western industry that have comparative advantages.
