摘　　要："人的自由全面发展"是衡量社会进步的重要标尺。在当代中国,要从实际出发,加强对自然资源的合理开发利用,保护生态环境,在促进人与自然的和谐统一中实现"人的自由全面发展";全面推进经济建设、政治建设、文化建设、社会建设,在人与社会的有机结合中实现"人的自由全面发展";使每个人都树立正确的世界观、人生观、价值观,加强自身的能力建设,在人与自身的和谐统一中实现"人的自由全面发展"。A ＂free and all-round development of man＂ serves as an important rod measuring social progress. To realize a ＂free and all-round development of man＂ in modern China, we must develop and make good use of natural resources in a rational way, protect the ecological environment, promote a harmonious unity of humanity and nature, push forward the progress in economy, politics, culture and society in an all-round way, promote organic integration of man with society, and help every one foster correct world outlook, outlook of life and values and constantly improve his/her ability.
