How demand information circulates smoothly is very important for enterprise to gain competitive advantage. VMI is a new inventory strategy, its implementation can meet the FMCG industry's aim to grasp the requirements of consumer demand on time, fast response to market, and furthermore increase the market share. This paper analyzes the advantages of FMCG industry based on the implementation of VMI, raises some of the challenges that it may face during the implementation of VMI, and gives strategy analysis to address these challenges.
