摘　　要：通过对甘肃省武威市武威文化广场设计的项目背景、设计思路、原则和手法的总结与分析,探讨了在城市中心商业区文化广场设计过程中,如何在确保人、活动、景观、功能协调统一的前提下,在为市民提供舒适的广场文化、休闲空间的同时,充分考虑利用地下空间开发提升地块的商业价值,合理利用广场的地下空间解决城市中心商业区机动车和自行车的停放问题,优化广场周边的交通状况,创造地上文化休闲与地下商业有机结合的多维立体广场空间。By summarizing and .analyzing the background, thought and basic principles of design of Wuwei Cultural Square project, this article discussces how to maximize land＇ s commercial value and solve the parking problem of motor vehicles and bicyclesthrough fully utilizing underground spaces and how to create a multi-dimension public square through integrating above-ground cultural activity and underground commercial activity, in the process of cultural square design, under the condition to harmonize humanbeings, activity, landscape and functionality, while providing citizens with a comfortable public square and leisure space.
