摘　　要：介绍了民居建筑是构成一个地方历史文化底蕴的重要因素,阐述了湘西民居建筑崇尚自然、聚族而居、奉祖为吉、因地制宜、就地取材、传承创新的主要特征,以帮助人们对湘西民居建筑有进一步认识。It introduced that folk house was important element to compose a local history culture base,the main characteristic of upholding nature,dwellers in group,oblation ancestor as best,getting raw material form local and preserving and innovation of west Hu＇nan folk house were illustrated,so as to help human further understanding of west Hu＇nan folk house.
