摘　　要：实事求是,群众路线,独立自主是蕴含在毛泽东思想科学体系之中的本质与核心,贯穿于其形成与发展的整个历史进程,成为其发展历程的显著特征。该文认为实事求是是毛泽东思想形成发展历程的本质特征,群众路线是根本特征,独立自主是基本特征,这些原则对中国的现代化建设事业具有普遍和长远的指导意义。Seeking Truth from Facts, Mass Line and Maintaining Independence and Initiative, are the core of Mao Zedong Thoughts. They run through the whole process of formation and development of Mao Zedong Thoughts, and have become remarkable characteristics of them. This paper holds that Seeking Truth from Facts is the essential characteristic of the formation and development of Mao Zedong Thoughts, that Mass Line is the fundamental charac- teristic, and that Maintaining Independence and Initiative is the basic characteristic. All of these principles are of widespread and long- term significances to China＇ s modernization.
