公共空间视野下上海现代市民叙事的空间化特征

摘　　要："上海现代市民叙事"是指穆时英、刘呐鸥、叶灵凤、施蛰存等作家创作的、反映20世纪30年代上海市民生活与价值观的现代市民叙事文学。"公共空间"则是在这些叙事文本中呈现出来的实实在在的"物质空间"。在20世纪30年代市民叙事中公共空间大量出现,文本中的公共空间在推动情节发展、塑造人物性格、影响叙事视野、改变修辞方式上都发挥了很大的叙事功能。它使20世纪30年代现代市民叙事呈现出全新的空间化特征,也标志着现代市民深层价值秩序的逐步形成。公共空间给我们进一步考察都市生活与市民叙事之间的关系提供了一个有效的途径。This article analyzes the features of 1930s-1940s Shanghai plebeian novels from the perspective of public space and life space to explore the narrative functions of the descriptions of the public space and life space which are employed to unfold the plot of the story, to depict characters, to shape narrative vision, to change rhetoric, and others. Such descriptions give a new look to the 1930s-1940s Shanghai modem plebeian novels and mark the formation of modem citizen-oriented values. Public space provides an effective means for us to investigate the relationship between urban life and plebeian novels.
