摘　　要：题名是论文的缩影,也是其重要的组成部分。英文题名的撰写,要求表达确切、用词精练、便于检索。男科论文的英文题名从功能上可分为描述性、结论性和设问性3种基本类型,在结构上有短语型、句子型、主副型和混合型4种常用形式。此外,英文题名还具有鲜明而独特的语言特征。在撰写英文题名时,中国作者既要遵循基本要求、了解主要类型、知晓常用结构,又要意识到英汉两种文化的思维表达差异,摆脱本族文化思维定势的影响,确保英文题名既能确切反映主题又与英语文化的思维表达方式同步合拍。The title is the epitome as well as a most important part of an article.An effective title is required to be concise,informative and sensitive to electronic retrieval.In writing an English title for an andrological paper,the Chinese author should have a good knowledge of their basic requirements,functional types,common syntactic structures and unique language features.Besides,he must be aware of the discrepancies between the Chinese and the English people in their culture-oriented ways of thinking and representation and break away from the influence of their native language so as to produce an effective and idiomatic English title.
