摘　　要：Topic maps是描述知识结构,建立知识结构同相关信息资源关联的ISO国际标准,可以提供最佳的信息导航。分析Topic maps概念和基本构成的基础上,以大学信息门户Topic map的创建为例,从本体构建、Topic map定义、TAO的编码以及可视化等角度探讨了Topic maps的应用和实现技术。Topic maps are an ISO standard for describing knowledge structures and building relations between relevant information resources, which can provide powerful functions for information navigation. The paper discusses the basic concepts and constructions of Topic maps, then based on the practice of ＂NJ university topic map＂, it explores the application and realization from ontology building, topic map definition, TAO source codes and visualization of Topic maps.
