摘　　要：利益集团在美国政治过程与社会生活中具有重要地位。作为高等教育领域的利益集团,高等教育协会组织是美国高等教育治理的一支重要力量。美国高等教育协会组织在政府与社会面前代表其成员的整体利益,在协会内部担负着协调、整合成员利益的职能。高等教育协会的内部调节职能无论对高等教育系统还是协会本身都具有重要意义,其职能的发挥依赖于一套具有特色的机制。Interest groups play an important role in American political process and its social life. The higher education associations,as the interest groups in higher education,are the key factors in the higher education governance. Therefore ,the associations are the representatives of overall interest of its members before the government and coordinators within the associations themselves,which are responsible for the coordination, integration of the interests of members in the associations. The functions of internal coordination,which rely on a set of distinctive mechanisms,are of great significance for both the higher education system and the associations themselves.
