摘　　要：乔治.爱略特是英国维多利亚时代的著名女作家。根据自身的经历和对宗教的理解,乔治.爱略特形成了她自己的宗教观——人文宗教。她的这一宗教是一切从感情出发,建立在"爱"的基础上的宗教。George Eliot was one of the famous women writers in Victorian era. Basing upon a redefinition of the essence of religion and a constructive criticism of the doctrine and practice of the traditional Christianity,George Eliot put forward the religion of humanity and this religion is the one based on love and feelings.
