摘　　要：世博会历来是主办国展示其社会、经济、文化、科技成就和发展前景的盛会。世博会也为人类所共同关心和要解决的一些问题,进行研究和探讨。在国际金融危机肆虐之时,上海世博会提出"城市,让生活更美好",作为一种新的因素,正在改变这种经济低迷之势。World Expo has always been a grand gathering for the host country to demonstrate its social, economic, cultural, scientific and technological achievements as well as its development prospect. It also makes studies of and probes into some issues the mankind is concerned with or intends to resolve. With the international financial crisis running rampant, the theme of Shanghai Expo 'Better City, Better Life' as a new element is injecting life into the slack world economy.
