摘　　要："Blindness was the watershed in my life.At 29,I shifted my goal from outdoing others to transcending my own limits,"says Yang Jia,47,professor of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS).Before her life-altering moment, she made admirable achievements,one after another,and was widely believed to be a genius.The turning point came in 1992,when macular degeneration left her blind.She didn’t give in.With perseverance,she continued to teach and,for the past 18 years,she has been a brilliant figure in China她是改革开放后我国培养的第一批大学生，15岁考上大学；19岁成为大学老师：22岁考入中国科学院研究生院；24岁成为该院最年轻的讲师一路走来阳光灿烂。然而在1992年春天．命运之手将这一切全部夺走——她因视神经病变而失明。
