摘　　要：长江流域是我国重要的经济区，实现长江流域水资源可持续利用，对促进我国经济发展具有重要意义。建国近５０年来，长江流域水资源综合利用取得了巨大成就，促进了流域经济的持续稳定发展。同时，也存在一些问题，如防洪能力普遍较低、水能资源开发程度不高、水土流失和水污染日趋严重等。为实现流域可持续发展，流域水资源可持续利用应采取依法治水，加强水资源管理，搞好水中长期供求计划及水资源评价工作，采取有力措施控制洪水灾害，加快水力资源开发步伐，积极发展航运，持续发展灌溉、供水，加快水土保持，加强水资源保护。The Yangtze valley is a main economic region of China, and realizing sustainable utilization of water resources in the valley has an important significance to promoting economic development of China. Since founding of the People's Republic of China, it has gained a huge achievement in comprehensive utilization of water resources in the valley, promoting continuous development of economy. However, in the valley, there exist some problems, such as, generally low flood control capability, less exploitation level of hydropower resources, increasingly severe soil & water loss and water pollution. For the purpose of realizing sustainable utilization of water resources to encourage sustainable development of economy, every effort should be made to control water in conformity with law, to strengthen administration of water resources, to perfect medium term and long term water demand and supply planning as well as water resources evaluation, to prevent and mitigate flood disaster, to speed up exploitation of hydropower resources, to develop navigation and irrigation, to speed up soil and water conservation, and to strengthen water resources protection.
