“西洋三书”与《镜花缘》中的社会风俗

摘　　要：明代马欢的《瀛涯胜览》、费信的《星槎胜览》和巩珍的《西洋番国志》被称之为"西洋三书",是作者跟随郑和下西洋亲身经历的记述。《镜花缘》作为一部涉海小说其部分内容与"西洋三书"有些相似。通过对"西洋三书"中暹罗妇女执事与《镜花缘》中女儿国"女尊男卑";"西洋三书"中天方等国"风俗好善"与《镜花缘》中君子国"惟善为宝";以及两者海盗现象,商品贸易的对比印证,可见"西洋三书"虽然记载了异国一些良好社会风俗,但仍将之归为"夫圣化所及,非前代之可比"是天朝教化所及而然,而《镜花缘》作者则将自己对天朝现实的失望,在现实生活中无法实现的理想,投射到海外超现实的殊方异域中。《镜花缘》对社会风俗的思考显然比"西洋三书"更为深刻和厚重。Sceneries of Western Countries composed by MA Huan,Sceneries of Aliens composed by FEI Xin,and Stories of Western Countries composed by GONG Zhen,were regarded as three great books about the West,all of which were written during the authors＇ tour to the West together with ZHENG He. As the first novel about western countries,The Destiny of Mirror Flower is similar to these three books in some respects. In these three books,although the authors recorded some of the good social customs,they attributed the merits to the teaching of Confucius,while the author of The Destiny of Mirror Flower embodied his disappointment to the reality of then society and his unfulfilled ideals to the ultrareality of overseas countries. It is obvious that The Destiny of Mirror Flower provides a more profound reflection on social customs.
