Enhanced Oil Recovery is a leap in oil and gas development engineering field.Compared with water flooding,it enhances swept volume and improves efficiency of water flooding by use of the dual function of physical and Chemical. After near 20 year research and the practice, the technology of Chinese chemical flooding advanced to another nation in scale and efficiency and so on in the world.Nearly 30 experiments indicated that the polymer flooding could be possible to enhance recovery ratio 10%.Compound flooding could be possible to enhance recovery ratio 15%~20%.In 1997,the oil mass of Chinese polymer flooding increased to 303×104t.During the "95" period the number increased to 1500×104t.Most of Chinese oil fields belong to oil-generating strata and were built-up by continental deposit People forecast that the average recovery ratio of water flooding is 34.2%,and the nearly 10 billion tons oil reserves remain underground. This condition has provided the great potential for Chinese enhanced oil recovery. From now on,Chinese enhanced oil recovery must be improved in the oil displacement mechanism, the deeply understanding the reservior, reducing cost and amount of the chemical agent, the depth profile controlled, enhancing the whole economic efficiency and so on.Then the recovery and economic efficiency could be abtained in most degree.
