摘 要:由于救亡图存的迫切诉求,20世纪前期知识界围绕女子教育宗旨展开的大论争达四次之多,依次以贤妻良母、超贤妻良母主义、母性主义、妇女回家论的话语形式呈现,虽然各阶段的侧重点有所不同,但都围绕着应否将女子养成"贤妻良母"以服务于民族国家这一核心命题展开论争,这不仅折射了不同政治派别对国权与女权谁之优先问题的考量,也说明了国权与女权之间存在着难以调和的内在张力。In the early period of the 20th century,Chinese intellectuals,striving to save the nation from subjugation,were engaged in four grand debates over the objectives of female education,esp. on the topics of being an understanding wife and loving mother,beyond the understanding wife and loving mother,motherism and women's returning home respectively. Though different debates had different focuses,all of them centered on the core issue whether or not a woman should be educated to be an understanding wife and loving mother so as to serve the interests of the nation-state. These debates not only reflected different opinions of political parties on the relative importance of national rights and women's rights,but also indicated the irreconcilable conflicts between those two.
